Obituary for Barbara I Haines (Goodwin)
Dover: Barbara I. Haines, 85, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 at Riverside Rest Home in Dover, NH. She was born on October 9, 1935 in Springvale, Maine; the daughter of Ernest and Ruth (Burroughs) Goodwin.
Barbara went to school in Sanford, graduating from Sanford High School in 1954. She worked for many years at Cleary Cleaners. She enjoyed collecting dolls and doing jigsaw puzzles with her husband. Prior to entering the nursing home, she enjoyed going to Maranatha, a church group for elderly people.
Barbara is survived by her daughter Ruth Goodwin and her husband Charles, of Lee, NH; two grandchildren, William Goodwin of Dover, NH and Jennifer Goodwin of Lee, NH; her brother Richard Goodwin of Sanford, ME; Cousin Jay Colby and his wife Marcia of Sanford, ME; and many friends.
She was pre-deceased by her parents, her husband, Quentin Haines, and their life-long friends Robert and Marcia Gibson, who she will be buried next to and be with forever.
The family thanks the staff at Riverside Rest Home for their care of her.
A private interment service will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery, Barrington, NH at the convenience of the family in the spring of 2021.
