Obituary for Donald V Stewart

Donald V. Stewart 78, of Madbury, NH passed away on May 7, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Donald was born May 8th 1943 and grew up in Pepperell, Massachusetts alongside his 11 siblings. He attending school and graduated in Pepperell, Massachusetts. After which he attended The University of Massachusetts Lowell. As a young man he spent time with his siblings working in his family’s owned store occasionally sneaking a Devil dog and being embarrassed to sell the local ladies ”unmentionables”.
He was an honorably discharged Army Veteran having served a tour in Vietnam.
He later worked for many years in construction truck driving, running heavy equipment and snow plowing for CE Fitch Construction, Martel Construction, and Mast Road Sand and Gravel before retiring in 2007.
Donald lived a respectable humble workingman’s life alongside his wife of 28 years Anita (Toni) until her passing in 2003. After which he continued to devote his life and time to his grandson, his daughter, his family, friends and church.
He was a loving husband to his wife. He was a hands-on teaching grandfather to his grandson and an understanding father to his daughter.
Donald was a kind and giving soul always willing to help out family, friends, those in need and generously giving to many charitable causes.
He enjoyed watching all sports, playing an occasional round of golf, doing a little fishing, cooking dinners for family and friends and spending time with both his immediate family and his extended church family.
He will be deeply missed by many. But, he will be lovingly accepted in heaven by more.
Donald is survived by his daughter Roberta (Bobi) Ouellette of Dover, NH, his grandson Dylan Nichols of Dover, NH, his sister-in-law Gladys Hall and Shirley Williams, his brothers and sisters Ann Mountain, Johanne Fitch, Anthony Stewart, Paul Stewart, Joy Brown, Stephen Stewart, Kathleen Jackson, their Spouses and many Nieces and Nephews. And his cat pal Moe.
Donald was predeceased by his wife Anita (Toni) Stewart, his parents Anthony and Marie Stewart, his brothers Lawrence Stewart, Colonel John Stewart, Thomas Stewart and William Stewart.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:30 am on July 18, 2022 at Purdy Memorial Chapel, 2 Concord Road, Rt. 4, Lee, NH, 03861.
