Northwood, NH: Florence Joan (Gnecco) Hall, 86, originally of North Easton, MA, passed away
on Thursday, September 24th, 2020 with family by her side.
She was born on November 8th, 1933 in Framingham, MA, daughter of John C. Gnecco Jr. and
Florence M. Davey Gnecco.
Florence was known by her friends and family for being loving, kind, thoughtful and generous.
Throughout her life she enjoyed spending quality time with them, attending mass, and being a
dedicated housewife. She took pride in ironing, sewing, washing dishes and doing laundry. Living
by principles such as doing her chores (that she secretly loved) before going to bed. Being honest
and sincere were a priority in her life. She loved taking craft classes and always found time to
care for others, making them feel appreciated. She made everyone feel special. She was always
ready to help with Girl Scouts or any activity important to family and friends. Always on the
lookout for a good deal, she enjoyed spending time shopping at various stores for gifts, candy and
things to use around the house. When it came to her grandchildren, she always found ways to
spoil them with gifts, treats and treasures.
She was a devout Catholic and a long standing member of Immaculate Conception Church. Also
as a member of the Woman’s Club, she greatly enjoyed the annual Christmas Bazaar.
Florence is survived by her two daughters Ann-Marie Hall-Fiske and Mary-Ann Farrell, her
son-in-law Mark R. Farrell Sr., her sister-in-law Elizabeth Gnecco, and her three grandchildren
and their spouses, Mark R. Farrell Jr. and his wife Megan, Samuel W. Fiske and his wife Katie,
and William L. Farrell and his wife Yuko. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces and
friends that were considered family including her snuggle buddy, Scout.
She was predeceased by her husband William W. Hall, her sister Mary M. Treen and brother John
C. Gnecco III. Florence and “Bill” were married for 60 wonderful years, enjoying a lifetime of
joy and happiness together.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cornerstone VNA of Rochester, NH or Immaculate Conception Church of North Easton, MA.
