Obituary for Phyllis Estelle Kyreages (Buzzell)

Phyllis Estelle (Buzzell) Kyreages, 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 30, 2022. Born on October 23, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Ruth (Kelly) Buzzell and John Buzzell. Phyllis grew up in Somersworth and was a 1949 graduate from Somersworth High School.

On May 18, 1952, she married the love of her life Clarence “Cook” Kyreages and they made their home in Dover. She worked as a secretary at Prudential, Servomation, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and SUBMEPP. Upon her retirement, Phyllis enjoyed leisurely day trips with Cook to the beach, getting there bright and early (9am!) to get a good parking spot.

She loved spending time and making memories with her family, especially during the holidays. Phyllis had a warm smile and had a joy about her that made it a pleasure to spend time with her.

She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter Sandra and her husband William Gregorakos of Barrington, NH, brother Roger Buzzell and his wife Priscilla of Rochester, NH, and many loving nieces and nephews. Phyllis is predeceased by her husband, Clarence G. Kyreages in 2019, and her siblings Fred Buzzell, Edwin Buzzell, Marian Howland, Raymond Buzzell, and Etta St. Laurent.

A celebration of life will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, May 4 at Wiggin-Purdy-McCooey-Dion Funeral Home, 655 Central Avenue, Dover, NH
