Obituary for Sharon C. Rich (Negrelli) Mrs.

Farmington, NH: Sharon Christina Rich (formerly Negrelli), 70, of Winter St. passed away suddenly on Monday, July 6, 2020 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. She was born on July 1, 1950 in Norwalk, CT; the daughter of Wilfred Negrelli, and Concetta Colandrea Negrelli formerly of Westport, CT. She attended Staples High School in Westport, CT and Granite State College in Rochester, NH. After raising her children in Sandy Hook, CT she and her husband moved to New Hampshire where they spent the last 24 years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Sharon volunteered at Cornerstone VNA, as an usher, in the Tiger Café, and prepared and delivered holiday food baskets at Thanksgiving and Christmas for her church where she was a member for over 20 years, and worked in human services caring for the developmentally disabled. She mastered the art of embarrassing her children (as any good parent should), often shared terrible jokes, and always maintained a sense of humor. When she was able, she loved to cook and always made enough food to feed a small army. While her family is devastated by her loss and will miss her terribly, we know that she wouldn’t want us to spend too much time grieving. Sharon is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, David Rich; her children Justin Rich and his partner Beth Norton of Rochester, NH, Christina Craft and her husband Sean Craft of Portsmouth, RI, and Anthony Rich of Farmington, NH; 5 grandchildren, Olivia and Spencer Rich of Rochester, NH, Caitlin, Logan, and Finnegan Craft of Portsmouth, RI; her best friend of many years Joanie Davis of Dunedin, FL and countless other family and friends especially those from Grace Community Church in Rochester and Farmington. She was pre-deceased by her grandparents Anthony and Christina Colandrea, her parents and her grandson, Anthony David Rich. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name, to her much loved Grace Community Food Pantry, 69 Wakefield St., Rochester, NH 03867 where she was a member for over 20 years. Due to Covid-19, a small, private service will be held on Friday for close friends and family only. To sign our online guestbook, please go to www.purdyfuneralservice.com
