Obituary

On Monday, 26th of April 2021, Stephanie Gillespie, 60 of Nottingham, NH took her final run to reunite with her Father, Stephen Grande; her Sister, Joanne Grande; and her Nephew, Thomas Leech in Heaven. We lost our Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Nana, and Friend suddenly to a cardiac event. Stephanie leaves behind her husband of 31 years Brett, Daughter Jennie, 34, Sons Terry Smith 48, Sammy 30, and 2 Grandchildren Arina Gillespie, 6, and Anthony Thomas Edward Shattuck 5 whom she poured her heart and soul into. She will be remembered for loving life, selflessness, caring, free-spirited, a mom to all in need coming from any walk of life. She was there to put a shirt on your back and fill your belly with one of her hot Italian meals. Whether you needed a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen, she was there usually following up with some solid no-bullshit life lesson. Stephanie touched many lives and will be greatly missed

Ok, so I'm suppose to say good bye to a friend here. I'm sorry I can't, but I will say see you later. And when I see you I'll be expecting an Italian feast. Steph you left this world too soon but I know you love to travel and now you are on a trip of a lifetime! I remember in 2004 our trip to Italy, how you loved it. We traveled to Rome and saw the sights then onto Sicily to celebrate my birthday. And we didn't leave any wine bottle surviving. We played on the black sand beach of Stromboli and climbed into the ruins of ancient temples. I remember finding hill towns of our ancestors. I especially remember being in Sciacca and you dispersing your father's ashes into the sea. I bear witness that your dad wanted to give you a big hug one last time. So as you sent the ashes flying the wind kicked them back to envelope you in a hug from your dad. Steph I'll always remember our little trips here and there. Even our drive to surprise Brett at the port of Baltimore as he arrived in the western star truck. I remember when Irene and I drove to Ohio to bring you back after little Jenny released the brake on the truck and you broke your leg after being pinned. So Steph I'll always have the memory of our trip to Venice and us searching for a hotel in the middle of a big convention. I still recall you calling every night from any city we were in to see how Brett and the kids were. You probably drove him crazy calling every night. You just loved your family so much you couldn't be apart. Brett was lucky to have you in his life and Jenny and Sam were privileged to have you as their mother. Through good and bad times you only had their best interests in mind. Steph I was privileged to call you a friend for over 40 years. You gave me friendship and compassion during a very difficult time in my life. I thank you for that. I am happy to have shared the times we did. I am sad for Brett and his loss. I am sad for Sam and Jenny for their loss. As adults they lost a chance to know you as a parent and friend. So Steph I won't say good bye because you never really can leave. You spirit will always be around your family, comforting them and guiding them. So my friend enjoy heaven and be patient we'll all get there eventually. With a tear in my eye, see you later, joanne shibilia

I loved this woman, Stephanie was fun to be around all the time, and boy she sure can cook. In Florida, I loved going there and getting something to eat and she would feed you this wonderful and best food you ever tasted. Stephanie, you will be greatly missed, and wish we lived closer so we could have seen each other

Prays to heaven to you
Ron
