Obituary for Stephen Pierce Towne
DOVER: Stephen Pierce Towne, 69 passed away unexpectedly on April 22, 2021 in the Portsmouth Regional Hospital from an accident while playing basketball. He was born on August 1, 1951 in Dover, NH to Lawrence and Reita (Pierce) Towne.
Stephen graduated from Dover High School, Dover, NH; where he was an athlete and a scholar, and went on to earn a degree from the State University of New Hampshire in Durham.
Stephen touched countless children during the time he coached little league at Dover South Side. Stephen was involved win many activities, which included organizing the “Over the Hill Basketball League”. Stephen loved to travel and going to Disney World.
For those families and friends, he left behind, there are countless memories of Stephen’s love for sports and travel.
Stephen is survived by his brother, Robert Towne.
